The Number of Delinquent Returns in Constant Decrease

In line with legal regulations in force, tax payers are obliged to, up to 15th in the month, submit VAT returns (PR PDV 2) for the previous month and returns for monthly account on excise for alcohol and alcoholic beverages (OAKC-AL), tobacco products (OAKC-DP) and mineral oils, their derivatives and substrata (OAKC-MU).

TAX AUDITORS ACCOMPLISHED 745 AUDITS AND CHECKINGS DURING MAY

The Tax Administration in its Work Plan for 2009 among other issues also designated directives for carrying out monthly audits. The main purpose of the adoption of the Annual Work Plan of audits is the rational and economical tax authority resources’ management, with the aim of achieving as good results as possible. During MAY 2010 tax auditors were engaged in audits and collection of taxes and other public revenues, as well as in audits and collection of the tax overdue. In this reporting period, the Department for monitoring of tax regulations, inspection audit and administrative proceeding successfully carried out activities from its authority and continued with the activities designated by the Action and Operative Plans for the control of the tourist season. Additionally, activities on prevention of grey economy were carried out intensively, in line with Conclusions of the Coordination Authority of the Government of Montenegro.

Today (June 15th 2010) Ms. Lilemor Skilback, an expert from SIPU International, a consulting house providing technical assisstance to the Tax Administration within the Project IPA 2007, organized a workshop for officials of the Tax Administration Call Center on the theme of organisation and functioning of the Swedish call Center, which is designed at regional base and consists of 15 units with 500 employees totally.

All salesmen have are obliged to present the warning to customers on a visible place, why the Tax Administration decided to offer the above mentioned solution with multiple effects. These warnings are printed in the uniform way and with the uniform content, what will accentuate the importance of issuing VAT receipts to customers.

THE TAX ADMINISTRATION SIGNED THE AGREEMENT ON MUTUAL COOPERATION WITH THE CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATION

Today (25.05.2010.) the Director of the Tax Administration Ms Mirjana Pešalj and the Director of the Customs Administration Mr Božidar Vuksanović signed the document that will contribute to strenghtening administrative capacities of both authorities, by hastening data and information exchange for rounding their data bases. This is the Agreement on on mutual cooperation of these two authorities, determining the way of exchange and the scope of data to be exchanged.

REQUESTS FOR VAT REFUND OF OVER 10,7 MILLION € DURING APRIL

During APRIL 2010 122 requests for VAT refund and redirection of funds from tax credit for paying tax liabilities were submitted to the Tax Administration. The Tax Administration, with the aim of determining well foundedness of the requests for refund, accomplished necessary inspections and audits, followed by relevant resolutions.
