The IMF expert Mr Paul Gerard Martens has been visiting the Montenegrin Tax Administration, through the project of revenue administration capacity development in countries of Southeast Europe (SEE), with the aim of providing further support in the field of Compliance Risk Management (CRM), as well as for defining next steps in implementation of CRM Plan prepared during his previous visit.

During two weeks of the mission, the IMF expert will focus on the construction industry CRM project, working together with representatives of the Risk Mangement Unit, Public Education Unit, as well as Taxpayer Services, Audit and Collection Departments.

The mission on CRM is a part of the FY20 Workplan, considering its relevance for better governance and strenghtening of core business functions, and thus, for increasing of the overall MTA efficiency.

The project of strenghtening revenue administration management in countries of Southeast Europe, funded by the European Commission and State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), has been implemented by the IMF Fiscal Affairs Department (FAD) since 2016, with the aim of introducing the reform and modernisation of revenue administrations in those countries for the future EU accession.
